Originally specified as 2cm honey onyx, which proved to be cost prohibitive and later impractical as it was impossible to achieve the curved appearance desired by the Architects.
Sahara Amberlite was finally chosen due to its warm honey tones.
Architects Drawings
Amberlite can be formed and fabricated to almost any design and the cost of which is a fraction of that of real natural onyx.
Working from the Architects drawings, Amberlite was cut and fabricated into ready to install units complete with LED backlighting, ready to be installed by local contractors.
All production is checked at each stage for accuracy, pattern graining (if applicable) and finally packed in custom crates ready for shipping by air or sea (see pictures below – click to enlarge)
